In order to obtain the Minnesota Hunter Education Certificate, Students 11-15 years of age must pass both the online and field day portions of the Firearm Safety Hunter Education Course.
Adult students who complete the course have the option of taking a field day, but it is not required to receive their hunter education certification. Minnesota HUNTERcourse.com students may complete their field day in a virtual online classroom.

The Minnesota Hunter Safety Course Field Day Voucher is issued once you have completed the online course. The voucher is your admission ticket into a Minnesota DNR Range and Field Day where you will complete your training. Minnesota HUNTERcourse.com adult students may complete their field day in a virtual online classroom and are not required to attend an in-person field day.

After you successfully complete the online course, you will have access to your field day voucher. On page 2 of your voucher, you will see the MN DNR procedure on how to self-certify with the state.
